Why Laboratory Solutions, LLC?

We started as a hospital based pathology practice in a rural western community in 1997. The hospital performed and billed the technical component and the pathology group billed for professional services. We quickly began procuring pathology work from regional hospitals and medical practices. We realized that we needed a clinical laboratory solution and processed the clinical samples at the hospital lab.

In 2008 we acquired the histology lab and clinical outreach business from the hospital and created a freestanding full service pathology and clinical lab. In 2014 we purchased two local toxicology services to become the largest regional toxicology provider.

Over the years, we worked with numerous client hospitals and physician groups to help them set up and operate cost effective in-house labs. We became experts at laboratory set up, lab management, laboratory quality assurance as well as regulatory and compliance issues. Our own lab was nationally recognized by the accrediting agency as a “lab of excellence.”

By 2018 we were the largest regional full service medical laboratory provider, we had significant clientele in adjacent metropolitan areas, as well as a national niche market. In 2019 we joined forces with an another laboratory to mutually expand services and clientele.
